Q: Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?

A: I will be attending Georgia Southern University in Statesboro in the fall. I am majoring in Recreational Therapy and minoring in Child and Family Development with a concentration in Child Life. I was inspired to choose this path because I have always had a passion for serving others and I love working with children. So when I learned about recreational therapy and child life I immediately fell in love.

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: I live with my mom, Amy, and my Dad, Dan, and my older sister, Shelby.

 

Q: Where do you go to school?

A: North Gwinnett High School

 

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community? 

A: Taco Mac,  Chick-fil-A,  Mellow Mushroom,  and Hacienda.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: I would go to the Amalfi Coast because I have never been there and it is beautiful! I have always seen pictures and wanted to go and explore all the beautiful streets!

 

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: My favorite tv show is Psych.

 

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

A: Find your people. Mrs. Baker always said that in Relay for Life meetings because it would remind us to capitalize on the people we already know and lead in order to raise money.

 

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?

A: 5 Seconds of Summer

 

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: Timothee Chalamet, Mellow Mushroom

 

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: II love all of the parks and events that take place throughout the year. It is great to see people from the community coming together to have a great time!

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: Working at a children’s hospital as a Child Life Specialist.

 

Q: What show are you binge watching right now? 

A: I am re watching Bob’s Burgers

 

Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: Christmas is my favorite holiday, I love all of the decorations and music! I also love all of the time you get to spend with your family and friends.

 

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: My dad, he goes to work every day and sometimes works long hours and rarely complains. I hope that I can be like him when I have a job!

 

Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?

A: I miss seeing the other Football Trainers every day at school.

 

Q: Were you involved in any sports or extra curricular activities?

A: I was a Student Athletic Trainer for all four years! I was also on the Exec Board for Relay for Life. I was a member of the National Honor Society, Beta, and Student Council.

 

Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

A: Go out to eat with my friends.
