Anthony Wilkins, Owner of Alloy Personal Training for Women

Anthony was nominated for Faces of Suwanee by someone close to his heart because of his desire to give as many women as possible a place and a way to become the best version of themselves.  Happy and always energetic, Anthony loves to encourage his clients to believe that they can do anything they set their mind to…

What inspired you or led you to your current career?

I played multiple sports growing up in New Jersey. I was a model/actor in New York and ran restaurants in the Hamptons. In 2005, we moved to Atlanta and I worked at another Alloy gym in Roswell. I opened Alloy in Suwanee in 2016 and absolutely love helping my clients achieve their personal goals in wellness, strength and fitness.

What is your favorite restaurant?

Capital Grill in Atlanta because of the atmosphere and service, as well as Jim n Nicks BBQ because of the food.

How long have you worked or lived in Suwanee?

I have worked here since 2016, so three years.

What has kept you here?

The open arms that I have always been met with everywhere I go. I’ve gotten to know so many people that it is both awesome and creepy when someone refers to me as Mr. Alloy because they know one or a few people who go to the gym.

How big is your family?

I grew up with four sisters, two older and two younger.  I have a wife and a 10-year old son.

Who is the most interesting person you’ve met in Suwanee?

Denise Brinson. I think she knows everyone in Suwanee!

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

Australia because it is on the other side of the world and they have great golf courses. I would also want to go to Greece because of the amazing history and beauty.

What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?

Lean on Me with my Mom. This movie is still one of my all-time favorites.

What advice would you give a crowd of people?

My life rules: 1) Don’t take yourself too seriously, 2) Don’t worry about what you cannot control, and 3) See rules 1 and 2!

What is something on your bucket list?

To play golf in every state in the U.S. and to visit every continent.

If you could take anyone to lunch (dead or alive) who would that be and where would you go?

My dad, who passed when I graduated high school, because he never saw any of my life since the day he left this world. We would have steak or barbecue.

What is your favorite music? Name three bands you would like to see.

My favorite band to listen to is Maxwell. I would like to see Jennifer Lopez live. Also, hardcore rap is a definite for workouts!

What local business makes you the most nostalgic about Suwanee?

Cooley’s Pizza. It was the first business that I walked into in Suwanee. Seeing all of the local sports team photos that are displayed on the walls drives home the small-town feel of the entire area.

What is your favorite thing about Suwanee?

Although it seems like a really big place, it’s really not and has a small-town feel.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

By the time I am 50, in five years, I hope to open three more Alloy locations and be in a position where I am training very little, if at all, and can enjoy the fruits of my labor on a nice, sunny golf course!

What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

I once had an interior design company and decorated my own house. I love to bake and I and do not let my wife touch my mixer!
