Q: Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?

A: After high school I plan on attending Oglethorpe University and double majoring in interior design and French! My fondest memories are the ones where I was sitting with my mom on the couch and watching HGTV with her. I grew up with the concept of being able to change a room around to fit any style just relaxed me. As for French I’ve always loved the language and I found a passion for it when I finally began to learn it in 9th grade and never stopped!

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: My family is great! They’re very supportive and encourage me to keep trying my hardest when things get tough. My dad makes sure I get to keep my creative space and my mom made sure that I stayed on top of my schoolwork and got a chance to succeed as well! The Turners have also become my family since they took me in this year and have just been there for me through everything! I love them so much and appreciate all that they’ve done for me! Without them I’d be completely lost! My best friends Kaela, Alexis, and Maika have also become my family over these 4 years and have supported me through thick and thin!

Q: Where do you go to school?

A: North Gwinnett High School

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: I absolutely love Ippolitos and Mori House! I’m European so I love European food and the love of sushi had been instilled in me when I was young and now I can’t get enough of it!

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

A: The most interesting person I’ve met in Suwannee would probably be my winterguard coach Marcus. He always brought an extra shine to our practices and showed that with perseverance you can even throw a six foot pole in the air and catch it (Maybe)!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: If this virus hadn’t completely taken over the world I would love to be in Paris. I’ve wanted to go ever since I was a little girl and see the sights! Nothing would make me happier than to see Le Mont Saint Micheal or visit Versailles!

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: My favorite tv show is an oldie! I love bewitched. Something about how Sam and Darrin deal with whatever crazy things life (and family) deals them and still balance having two kids makes me smile and let all my worries melt away.

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

A: The best advice I’ve ever received from a teacher was “If you want an A, study for an A+” and that teacher was actually my mom, Alla Greene! She’s always pushed me to do my best no matter what and I wouldn’t be who I am today without her guiding hand.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?

A: When I can’t decide what to listen to I usually turn to Alec Benjamin. His voice is really soothing and allows me to process everything that’s happening around me and still immerse myself in his music.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: I would love to have lunch with Todrick Hall! He’s my icon and his story inspires me to keep chasing my dreams despite hardships I may face along the way!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: Our community is very tight knit! We come together to help eachother and solve problems and it’s nice to know that no matter what, someone’s always got your back!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: In 5-10 years I see myself as beginning a career in interior design! Fresh out of college and ready to take on the world with my friends and family by my side! I’ll hopefully have an apartment or living arrangements of some sort, big enough for me and my corgi Chip!

Q: What show are you binge watching right now?

A: Lately I’ve been obsessed with the show Lost Girl! I’ve always loved fantasy and the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales and the show has a ton of elements of both as well as different types of lore!

Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: My favorite month would have to be July because it’s far enough away from the school year where you aren’t too freaked out about the next year and involves my favorite holiday the 4th of July where friends and family can get together and eat and have fun! Plus the fireworks are tons of fun!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: My Great Grandmother inspires me to be better because she’s gone through so much but still is an amazing and great person who strives to be as kind as she can be. Recently she’s been diagnosed with the virus but despite all that she’s still pushing and slowly getting better! Even at the legendary age of 101!

Q: If you could go back over your entire school career what is one thing you would do different?

A: If I could go back over my career I wouldn’t waste time on people who ultimately turned out to be toxic to me. I lost a lot of my time and my self esteem to people who ultimately didn’t in the grand scheme of things. I let their opinions and the drama they caused affect me and I really had to learn that the only person’s whose opinions mattered on me…was me.

Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?

A: Right now I really miss my best friends. Our hangouts after school were some of the only things that got me through the day and our sleepovers could compare to no other. Not being able to see them right now is really hard and taking its toll on all of us, but I’m glad that we still keep in touch through video calls and texts!

Q: Were you involved in any sports or extra curricular activities?

A: I was actually involved in a lot! I participated in marching band throughout the majority of the year and once that ended, I was enveloped in the exciting world of winter guard! I also acted a little in film club and wrote in YAC. I was one of five presidents of GSA, and on Friday’s I got a chance to go to astronomy club meetings! I was in NHS and FNHS which is basically French NHS and was in Tri-M for a bit too!

Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

A: The first thing I want to do is be able to actually go outside and see people! I want to drive to my best friend’s house and pick her up and just drive around with her and have the talks and face to face interaction I’ve missed so much! I also want to get to see my boyfriend who I haven’t seen in what feels like forever!
