Q: Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?

A: I will be attending Columbus State University in the fall for vocal performance! Ever since I saw my first opera in seventh grade, I fell in love, and there is nothing I want more than to be a professional opera singer.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: My family and I are as close as family can be. My family consists of me, my brother Nick, my dogs, Charlie and Stella, and my wonderful parents. I love spending time with them, and I would never be the person that I am today without them.

Q: Where do you go to school?

A: North Gwinnett High School

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

A: Sunshine, Bravos Cantina and Grill, and Mellow Mushroom

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

A: There are so many people I’d love to mention, but the top of the list would have to be my French teacher, Stephanie Kenemer. Her love of teaching and French is inspiring, and she really developed my passion for French.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: I would travel to France because I have a strong passion for the language and culture, not to mention the incredible sights.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: One of my favorite movies is the Wedding Singer, and my favorite TV show is Psych.

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

A:If you’re early, you’re on time, and if you’re on time, you’re late.” -Lynn Urda After singing with the Gwinnett Young Singers, I’ve been early for everything ever since.

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?

A: AJR

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: I would choose Renée Fleming because she is not only an incredible singer but an incredible person. She is able to sing a variety of different styles and was able to bring opera into the spotlight by making it something that anyone and everyone can enjoy. As for the location, I would love to meet at Suwanee Town Center. It is a vibrant place with several wonderful options for food, and it is just a wonderful place to get to hang out.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: I love the feeling of togetherness in our community. I have always felt supported by those around me and feel blessed to have been brought up by such a nurturing community!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: I will most likely be getting my graduate degree in vocal performance. One of the most important things in order for me to pursue my dream is to pursue my education.

Q: What show are you binge watching right now?

A: The Office

Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: My favorite month is September because not only is it my birthday month, but it is the month where the weather is absolutely perfect and summer melts into fall. However, my favorite holiday is Christmas by far. I enjoy everything about this holiday, especially the music, the festivity, and getting to see the rest of my family. The best single day on the calendar to me is New Years Day because of the feeling of hope that comes with a fresh start or new beginning.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: My parents both inspire me to be better. It is amazing and inspiring to see my parents’ unconditional love for each other as well as for my brother and me. They have always taught me to be the best person that I can be, and I am beyond lucky to have them.

Q: If you could go back over your entire school career what is one thing you would do different?

A: There is nothing that I would change about my school career. Everything that I experienced, even the things that weren’t so great, shaped me into the person that I am, and I wouldn’t take back or change a single thing.

Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?

A: I really miss hanging out with my friends.
