Q: Please tell us about your current plans after high school. And what inspired you to choose this path?

A: I am going to Samford University this fall, and I will be studying nursing. Having been training in dance for most of my life, I’ve encountered many injuries and surgeries that have given me a view on the medical world and the care that nurses give towards their patients, so I became inspired to leave that impact on patients as well.

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

A: I live with my dad, mom, and brother. My dad works as a regional sales manager and my mom is a GCPS theatre teacher. My brother is 21 and works for Target.

 

Q: Where do you go to school?

A: Providence Christian Academy

 

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community? 

A: Hammerheads, Chick-fil-A, Tropical Smoothie Cafe

 

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

A: My 10th grade history teacher, Rebecca Carlisle.

 

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

A: Italy! I have always wanted to see the Colosseum and other famous landmarks. We had a trip planned for this summer, but it recently got cancelled due to COVID-19.

 

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

A: My favorite movie is The Sound of Music, and some of my favorite TV shows are Gilmore Girls and Friends

 

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?

A: My dance teacher at North Gwinnett, Mrs. Reyna O’Leary always told me to not be so hard on myself, and to be content where I am.

 

Q: What is your go to band when you cant decide what to listen to?

A: Elevation Worship

 

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

A: Sadie Robertson Huff— She is fearless in her faith and is completely confident in who she is. I would love to get to know her on a personal level and take in all the wisdom she has. I would definitely go to Reveille with her.

 

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

A: I love Suwanee Town Center. As a kid, I would dance across the stage and even now, I walk around and picnic there was my friends.

 

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

A: I see myself being possibly married and working as an ER nurse.

 

Q: What show are you binge watching right now? 

A: Gossip Girl

 

Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

A: January, Christmas, the first day of school!

 

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

A: The younger students at my school who look up to me, and to whom I can mentor and befriend.

 

Q: If you could go back over your entire school career what is one thing you would do different?

A: I would not compare myself or my life to others.

 

Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?

A: I miss hanging out with my friends and dining at restaurants.

 

Q: Were you involved in any sports or extra curricular activities?

A: Yes! I danced in a company almost my entire school career, I am on my school’s chapel team, and my school’s student council. I am also a small group leader in middle school at Gwinnett Church.

 

Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?

A: Go get ice cream with my friends
