Please tell us a little bit about your family.
In my family is my dad, Shaun Deedy Sr., my mom, Sherry Deedy, and my sister Hannah Deedy, who is in college. I also have 3 half sisters named Katie, Erin, and Lauren.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan is to study either Biochemistry or Biomedical Engineering on the Pre-Medical track. My goal is to become a pulmonologist.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Taco Mac, and Chick-fil-a Moore Road
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Antarctica. The fact that such a vast, icy desert with such extreme temperatures and environments exists in the same world that we do is fascinating. I’d like to visit there since it is so unlike what we are used to.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite TV show of all time definitely has to be How I Met Your Mother, and another favorite is That 70’s Show.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
Don’t be afraid of failure, because failure is a necessary precursor to success. Therefore, take those risks that you’ve been wanting to make. Don’t shy away from it.
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
The Flash, so I can run really fast.
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I’d want to have lunch with Caeleb Dressel, at Taco Mac since it is one of my favorite Suwanee restaurants where I wound hang out after my swim meets. Caeleb Dressel is a swimming phenom that I love to watch. He is also a super nice and down-to-earth guy that I’d like to meet.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
It feels close-knit with all of the activities always going on, especially at Suwanee Town Center.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself in college and medical school, working toward my goal of being a pulmonologist.
What is something on your bucket list?
I want to go skydiving. I want to experience free falling and all of the adrenaline that comes with it.
What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Boston and KALEO are my two favorite bands.
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is December because of holiday break, Christmas, and the cold temperatures. The best single day on the calendar is December 25 because it’s Christmas and it’s in the heart of the two weeks off we get from school.
What inspires you to be better?
Seeing progress. If I see evidence of me getting better at something, it shows that what I’m doing makes a difference. That causes me to work harder.
